Dredging Update October 1, 2024: Our dredging contractor, Superior Dredging, is on site for the next few days finishing the access road to the basin (it’s 4 acres and 12 feet deep). They will also be working at the boat corral removing trees for the barge drop off point and removing some of the corral fencing to accommodate the trucks and large excavating equipment. As part of this operation, large semi trucks will be delivering equipment to the boat corral. To protect our roads and dam area, plates will be laid down at the waters edge where the barge will be and also laid down on the edges of the roads where the trucks will be coming and going with silt loads to the basin for drop offs.
The contractor is still finishing the job before ours as that project was expanded when they were on site, consequently, the actual dredging phase of our job has been delayed.
Superior’s best estimate to start the actual dredging is approximately
OCTOBER 16th and he has NOT yet decided the order of the coves to be dredged.
We appreciate everyone’s patience and regret that your lake time was cut short, however, this project has been ongoing since 2019 and is only a few weeks away from being completed.
As we get more information, we will provide timely updates.
If you have any questions., please call or text Theresa Rago at 313-580-9022 or email me at [email protected] Below are some pictures of our progress. The last pictures and video show the size of the basin.
