As a reminder, all watercraft require Lake Shannon boat decals.   If you have a round green decal or even older, they need to be updated.  This can be completed by texting  me a photo of your current registration(s) (per our bylaws they must be registered to the property owner(s)) along with your name and address and I will let you know when they can be picked up.

You can also send a self-addressed and stamped return envelope with a copy of the boat registration(s) for the boats you wish to sticker.   Please review Article XI below from the bylaws regarding the boating regulations and mooring facilities.  Please review the Lake Shannon Boating Map and Michigan Boating Regulations tab.

Lake Shannon Association
Attn: Boat Sticker
P.O. Box 464
Hartland, Michigan 48353

Please do not throw out your existing launch keycards; they will be reactivated as owners are issued new stickers. Replacement cards are issued upon payment of a $25 replacement fee. Reminder on the electric gate operator, this is a present card to unlock only which means you scan your card.  The gate will open and 120 seconds after the sensors are cleared the gate will close automatically.

A safety reminder to NOT launch your watercraft alone and parking in front of any object that can move on its own is dangerous.  Please launch with assistance.

ARTICLE XI        BOATING REGULATIONS AND MOORING FACILITIES
Section 1.         Boat Registration  - All watercraft owned by all Lake Shannon property owners, whether registered with the State of Michigan as required by Law or not, must be registered with stickers issued by the Association.  One of these two non-transferable stickers is to appear on both the starboard and port side of the watercraft immediately aft of the MICHIGAN WATERCRAFT REGISTRATION NUMBER POSITION.  All watercraft must be registered, with current Lake Shannon stickers properly applied, prior to launching or operating on Lake Shannon.
Section 2.         No Guest Boats - Only boats properly registered, as required by State Law, and identified by the Association sticker, will be allowed lake privileges.  Stickers can be obtained from a designated official (usually the treasurer) of the Association.  All boats shall be equipped and operated in accordance with State Law.
